Here’s all it takes to make a difference…

Join SPP to help fund a Giving Circle that will have a greater impact on the Savannah area than our members could accomplish individually. Together, we will identify a nonprofit working in one of our three focus areas and give a significant grant to help move that organization to the next level.

Members of SPP decide how much time, if any, they want to invest because we don’t require any minimum commitment.

Over the course of the year, we meet just a few times to make key decisions as a group. We also provide opportunities to become more involved in different phases of our annual processes such as interviewing field experts or vetting and finalizing the list of potential recipients.

Whether its a little or a lot, any time invested is up to you!

Focus: SPP’s annual process begins by determining which of the three focus areas will guide the year’s research efforts.

Research: Any SPP Member who has an interest can get involved in the Research phase, where qualified nonprofit organizations are identified, contacted, interviewed and summarized for review by the entire SPP. Questionnaires are used to ensure comparable information is gathered during each meeting.

Vetting: With the detailed responses from candidate organizations, the most highly qualified are selected by all SPP members, and narrowed to the top four.

Presentations by Candidate Organizations: The top four candidates must present their organization’s merit to the membership, who then votes to determine which organization will be awarded an SPP grant.

Grant Presentation will be announced and publicized in the last quarter of the year.

Members of SPP donate a minimum of $1,000 per calendar year.
